Agua Caliente Regional Park. The first night was pretty rough with gusty winds that took down some tents and damaged others. Some didn’t catch much sleep, but still the cub scouts were out from early morning climbing the nearby hill. After breakfast we had the flag ceremony and then we took off to go on a hike to an oasis. It was a very fine trip and it was interesting to see how the water traveled above ground and underground through the landscape and affected the plant life. From distance it looked like a green carpet. In the afternoon we did waterbottle rockets and some went swimming in the hot spring fed pools. In the evening we had potluck with a lot of delicious food and then we had the campfire with fun skits by all the dens and “branding” of the new cub scouts. We also retired two flags. The night sky invited for star gazing and Jeff Beers had a lot of interesting stories to tell. Sunday morning we had a ceremony and then it was time to go back home. Some stayed for an extra geocaching hike before leaving." />
